AsylumWorks

  • Holiday card design
  • Annual report design
  • Marketing collateral
  • Brand identity design for campaign
  • Problem

Each year, AsylumWorks closes out with a holiday card that highlights its work and calls for end-of-year donations. When they first reached out, they needed a designer who could translate the heart of their mission into visuals that were professional yet human, emotionally resonant without being heavy-handed. The success of the first card led to further collaborations, including a full 15-page annual report.

    Solution

For the holiday cards, I created designs that balanced warmth and gravity—pairing clear, mission-driven language with visuals that celebrated resilience and hope. For the 2022 Impact Report, I developed a clean, engaging layout that wove together personal stories, organizational milestones, and digestible data. The result was a thoughtfully crafted publication that not only informed but inspired—showcasing AsylumWorks’ mission with clarity, empathy, and professionalism.

    Key moments

    • Collaborated closely with leadership and stakeholders to ensure the brand balanced warmth, trust, and professionalism for a broad and emotionally invested audience.
    • Created a welcoming, empowering brand identity that captured AsylumWorks’ mission to support asylum seekers with dignity and hope.
    • Designed a versatile visual system—including logos, color palettes, and templates—that worked seamlessly across web, social, and print.
    • Translated sensitive, human-centered narratives into authentic visuals that honored clients’ experiences without feeling exploitative or heavy-handed.
