Don't Forget to Have Fun

During a particularly difficult season, I found myself craving an outlet—something that could hold both the cynicism and softness I was feeling. I needed a way to process internal struggles without getting lost in them.

    Solution

I started designing posters as daily mantras, using bold type, unexpected visuals, and dry humor to externalize my feelings. What began as a personal reminder evolved into an ongoing series—a visual diary of mistakes, doubt, joy, and self-deprecation. Each piece invites others to laugh, cringe, and relate, offering a design-driven pep talk that says: it’s okay to be a mess. Just don’t forget to have fun.

    Key moments

  • Conceptualized and Art Directed the Series: Transformed a personal mantra into a visual storytelling project, blending design, illustration, and typography to convey emotional narratives.
  • Developed a Cohesive Visual Language: Created a distinctive poster series with consistent color palettes, type treatments, and compositions that balanced vulnerability with humor.
  • Explored Personal Voice Through Design: Used the project as a creative laboratory to sharpen visual communication skills, deepen conceptual thinking, and push artistic boundaries.
  • Built a Framework for Creative Authenticity: Demonstrated the power of design as both a personal and public storytelling tool—an approach I bring into brand and client work.
